Let the Recruitment Begin!

In the weeks ahead Human Resources will be working with the ADTA to identify several new vacancies for teaching positions within the District. 

The recent special funding announcement establishes the Priority Measures Fund will create opportunity for new and existing teachers alike. It is our hope that within the next two weeks, these teaching opportunities will be posted on our District website.  As many Districts will be also recruiting at the same time, this may delay the process.

You can assist with the District recruitment of new teachers, by considering the following steps;

  • Get Connected -  If you are on LinkedIn, consider linking your profile to members of our HR team, who regularly promote vacant positions within the District
  • Transfer Opportunities – Do you know a teacher who lives in the area but commutes to another District? This may be the perfect opportunity for them to transfer their service by posting into a continuing position.
  • Networking – Send an email link of our careers page to teachers you think would be a great addition to our Abbotsford School District team.
  • Share Information – Feel free to share information about our teacher hiring proficiencies to assist applicants in preparing for a job interview. We also have information about our benefits package and PD opportunities available on the HR website.
