Make Safety A Habit
May 7-13 is the 20th Anniversary of North American Occupational Safety and Health Week!
The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is an annual, continent-wide event where employers, workers, and all partners in occupational health and safety collaborate to promote injury and illness prevention in the workplace. It is marked by a 1997 agreement between Canada, the United States, and Mexico, dedicating the first week in May each year to focus on occupational health and safety.
Among other initiatives to promote workplace health and safety, please keep an eye out for the following:
- Each site will receive a package with NAOSH Week resources to post at the workplace. Don’t forget to complete the NAOSH Week postcard questionnaire to enter our contest.
- A NAOSH Week section has been created on AbbyConnect under Workplace Safety. Click here to access resources and material to engage staff and students in awareness of workplace safety.
